Using the Google Map

The Google Maps at the top of the page has a lot of fun and useful features that will help you find the sales you are interested in locating.

Map Features:

• Click-and-drag on the map to shift the map left, right, up, or down
• Double-click on a point on the map to recenter the map to that point and zoom in one level
• Once the map is centered on the point of interest, use the Zoom control on the left side to zoom in (+) or out (-)
• Want to see actual satellite views of the map? Click on Hybrid at the top left corner to see satellite maps with streets and names drawn on top, or Satellite to see only the satellite images. Sometimes you can zoom in far enough to see the individual buildings at the sale!
• All those colorful MCC Logo icons on the map represent the location of each of the sales -- click on one to get an Info Box with the name of the sale, location, etc. This Info Box also lets you zoom in closer to the sale location by clicking on the Zoom In link, scroll down to the sale's details by clicking Contact Details, or if the sale has a website, go to the sale's website by clicking on the sale's name.
• Too many icons or only interested in a certain season? See only the Spring sales , Summer sales , or Fall sales by clicking on the Spring (February-April), Summer (May-July), or Fall (August-November) options above the map.
• Now you've played around, told it to show only Fall sales, zoomed in on a sale, and you want to go back to the full map. Click on Full Map at the top to reset the map.
• Clicking on the Google icon next to each sale's detail information further down on the page will zoom the Google map to that's sale's location, but won't scroll the page back up to the map automatically. Scroll back manually (the Home key will usually work too) to see the zoomed map. The MapQuest icon opens the sale's location in MapQuest in a different window for a "second opinion."

Problems viewing or using the Google Map?

The Google Maps feature requires newer browsers with Javascript enabled, so if it doesn't show up for you or you are seeing the older non-interactive map it may be your browser doesn't support the interactive Google maps. The MapQuest maps may work for you, or you may want to upgrade to a new web browser. The free Firefox web browser is a recommended upgrade and is available from Mozilla.com.

You may also view the older style page which should be friendlier to older browsers and a little faster to load.

About the Sale Locations

I have attempted to identify each sale's location as accurately as possible, sometimes within a few yards; however since I have personally only been to one or two of the sales and the location information at my disposal was not always very specific, it is quite possible I'm off by some significant amount in some cases. If you are not very familiar with the area, it is recommended you get in touch with the contact person for specific directions prior to leaving. If you are familiar with the area and the sale, please let me know if you find a map that is off!
